Hot stone massage is a speciality massage where basalt stones are used, due to their ability to hold heat for longer than any other stone. The heat from these stones leads to deep relaxation and warms up tight muscles quickly, this gives a deep effective massage which will relieve muscle spasm, pain and tension. Hot stone massages also help in releasing toxins, improves circulation and appearance of the skin, promotes sleep, reduces stress and anxiety. Cold stones can also be used for injury, muscle inflammation and hot flushes. This is also highly invigorating and balancing after the use of hot stones. The cold stones are an optional part of your treatment and will be discussed during your consultation.
