Deep Tissue Massage
Your Relaxing Wellbeing Retreat in Kemsing Sevenoaks

A deep tissue massage is ideal if you’re dealing with stubborn pain or tightness, whether it’s in your neck, shoulders, lower back, legs, or other areas that just won’t seem to loosen up. Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, helping to release knots, chronic tension, and long-held patterns of stress in the body.
I use firm, purposeful pressure with my hands, elbows, fists, and forearms to work into the areas that need the most attention. Throughout your session, I’ll check in with you to make sure the pressure feels right and that you’re comfortable. Deep tissue massage work can be intense at times, but many clients describe it as a “good pain” a productive, relieving sensation that leads to real, lasting comfort. Book a wonderful experience with me in the beautiful village of Kemsing in Sevenoaks.

Caring For Yourself After Your Deep Tissue Massage
After a deep tissue massage, your body may need a little extra care to fully benefit from the treatment and minimise any discomfort. It’s important to stay well hydrated, as deep tissue work can release metabolic waste from muscles, and drinking water helps your body flush it out. Mild to moderate soreness or tenderness is normal for the next 24 to 48 hours, and gentle stretching, a warm shower, or a heating pad can help ease any discomfort. Light movement, such as walking, is encouraged, but strenuous exercise or heavy lifting should be avoided to give your muscles time to recover. Allow yourself plenty of rest and prioritise relaxation, as your body continues to integrate the effects of the massage. Heat or cold can be used as needed heat to soothe tight muscles or a cold pack to reduce inflammation. Nourishing meals and avoiding alcohol or heavy foods can also support recovery. Pay attention to your body over the next couple of days, and if you experience sharp or persistent pain do not hesitate to get in touch.
